One recent summer day we were sitting on the beach, watching the world walk by, when we noticed something stick out like black socks worn with a pair of white Keds. The kids of the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s were now wearing tees that made them look like old farts“Over The Hill Club,” “Old Guys are Cool,” “World’s Greatest Grandma,” and worse. We saw tees from timeshares in Antigua, souvenir shops in Sedona, “I break for Branson, Missouri” resort shirts and more. We saw tees for every cause walks, runs, races, marches, marathons all serving worthwhile purposes but where was the fun and fashion of our youth?
Remember when old school was cool, and we wore concert shirts and club tees and all kinds of logo gear that didn’t make shoe companies and celebrities richer. Well everything old is now, as RetroBrooklyn recreates some of the greatest memories of the good old days on novel tees and other neat stuff. If you recall the memorable places of your youth you’re now going to enjoy a blast in the past!
